Crystal clear CBCT center is a modern technique used to examine the jaws and teeth. Its primary advantage over OPGs and other dental x-rays is that it produces three-dimensional imaging, similar to conventional CT but with a lower radiation dose. Crystal clear CBCT center allows for 3-D evaluation of dental anatomy and pathology. For example, it can be used to assess impacted teeth, pre-implant evaluation, orthodontic assessment, and evaluation for jaw and face surgery. Dental cone beam CT is used when regular dental or facial x-rays are insufficient. It creates 3-D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths, and bone in the craniofacial region with a single scan. It is not routinely used because of the significant radiation exposure. Cone beam CT images provide more precise treatment planning.
